This 4 Days Gorilla trekking and Mount Sabinyo hiking Safari is ideal for visitors who are interested in tracking mountain gorillas as well as climbing the Sabinyo Mountain all located in southwestern Uganda. This 4 Days Gorilla trekking and Mount Sabinyo hiking Safari will allow you to track mountain gorillas in either Mgahinga or Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and later do Sabinyo Hiking that is found in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Mount Sabinyo is the smallest volcanic mountain among all the Gahinga ranges.

Day 1: Pick up and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

You will be picked by our well-trained and hospitable Africa Adventure Vacation safari guide from Entebbe. This safari will start early in the morning and you will drive towards the southeastern region of Uganda where Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located. This is an approximately 8-9 hours road trip full of interesting stopovers where you will be able to stretch your muscles and relax shortly before you proceed to the next stop. The first stopover is always at the equator crossing for the photo moments and then continue to Mbarara city to have lunch. After Mbarara city, you will travel via Ntungamo and Kabale with the scenic views of the terraced garden in the rolling hills of Kigezi and the attractive plantation farms with local people there doing their usual daily activities. Your next and final stop will be the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the Rushaga region of Bwindi Forest where the gorilla habituation activity takes place. Check in to your hotel for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and transfer to Mgahinga

After your early morning breakfast at the lodge together with your packed lunch, you will walk up to the park headquarter for briefing before the gorilla trekking activity there the guide will take through what ought to do and not to do while in the forest searching for mountain gorillas and even after seeing them. From briefing, you will be allocated the habituated gorilla family that you’re going to trek and then taken to the starting point of your gorilla family. Gorilla family allocation is done basing on your choice which may be influenced by the state of your physical fitness, your interests, and maybe your age. Day 3: Hiking Mount Sabinyo

After a peaceful night on this second day of your 3 days Sabinyo hiking safaris, you will wake early in the morning and have your morning breakfasts and still, drive to the Mgahinga National Park headquarters for Mountain Sabinyo hike briefing and useful instructions, the after gate your porter ready if you need him and embark on the Mount Sabinyo climbing journey with the guidance of your guide. This will take you about 5 to 8 hours for both ascending the mountain and descending. While hiking, you will enjoy the great views of the other Virunga volcanoes and the various forests bounding the Sabinyo mountain providing habitat to several unique bird species that you will as well explore during your Mount Sabinyo climbing, you’re lucky, you may meet the gorillas and golden monkeys as your hiking, at the summit of Mount Sabinyo, your eyes will be filled with spectacular crater lakes that occupy the top of the mountain as you enjoy the wonderful views of Uganda, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo at once. You will spend about 8 hours ascend and descend to mount Sabinyo. After this wonderful experience, you will find when your driver-guide is waiting for you and he will drive you to the lodge for lunch and relaxation and overnight stay as you prepare for your morning gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

This is the last day of your 4 Day Gorilla and Mount Sabinyo hiking Safari based on your flight departure time, you will wake up with the morning breakfast, pack your luggage to make sure that you have not left anything behind, and then check out from the lodge and then embark on your Kisoro Kampala journey and then have lunch in Mbarara city en-route and then continue to drive to Kampala or Entebbe for your flight back and this will mark the end of your 4 Days Gorilla trekking and Mount Sabinyo hiking Safari
