Lulimbi Tented Camp
Lulimbi Tented Camp is a mid-range accommodation located in the heart of Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo at the shoreline of the Ishasha River. It is strategically located in an area with a number of wildlife such as elephants, hippos, buffalo, warthogs, crocodiles, Uganda Kobs, impala, Giant forest hogs and a wide range of bird species.
The camp was built to attract a number of tourists interested to encounter several savanna wildlife and to give visitors the chance to actively participate in conservation initiatives.
Lulimbi tented camp has a total of 10 beautiful and comfortable tents with 4 double room, 4 twins and 2 triples. Each tent features an en suite bathroom with hot showers and other standard amenities such as flushing toilets, USB ports for charging among others. The dining tent is specious and features a full restaurant serving both local and international cuisines and a well-stocked bar.
On request, the camp offers bush breakfast and dinner while enjoying the good view of savannah plain, mount mikeno and Nyiragongo volcano. Other services and amenities at the lodge include;

Guests can access the camp by both road and air. Price for accommodation goes for $475 in a Double/Twin Room, $340 for a Single Room and $760 for Triple Room at Lulimbi tented camp per night on full board and inclusive of 16% Govt VAT. These rates are subject to change without prior notice.
What to do at Lulimbi Tented Camp
Virunga national park is the most popular and famous travel destination in DR Congo, attracting a number of tourism activities with the most selling adventure encounter being mountain gorilla trekking experience and a hike to Nyiragingo volcano. The park has 8 gorilla families fully habituated for trekking and a permit goes for 400$ per person per trek. Now, the park has encouraged visitors to undertake in other activities while staying at Lulimbi tented camp. These include; elephant monitoring with a help of a ranger guide, chimpanzee habituation tracking, bird watching, game drives, boat trips on Lake Edward, tilapia fishing and community visits to Nyakakoma fishing village.
