Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls national park – Hike to the top of the falls
A driver guide from Africa adventure vacations will pick you at your hotel in the morning, brief you about 10 Days Uganda Primate and Wildlife Safari package, and drive you to Murchison falls national park, Uganda’s largest park and home to 76 mammal species as well as bird species. Along your way to Murchison falls your eyes will be fed with a lot of sightings of the beautiful landscape, farms, and smiling people. Upon arrival at the park, you will hike to the top of the waterfalls where you will watch River Nile make its way a 7 m crevice and drooping 45 meters beneath as it continues with its course. Due to the great power of the falls, you will hear that thunderous sound of the waters, and it’s impressive watching the rainbow. There proceed to the lodge, check-in, have dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Murchison game drive and the Nile boat cruise
On the second day of your safari, you will have a delicious breakfast and head out for a morning game drive. The driver-guide will lead you to the best places to easily see animals. You will see animals among which include lions, buffaloes, warthogs, impalas, warthogs, giraffes, and several different species of birds. drive back to the lodge for a delicious lunch and relax as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise on the Nile.
In the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise where you will have a great timer at the Albert Nile, the boat cruise takes you to the bottom of the falls. During the boat cruise, you will see animals such as crocodiles, elephants, crocodiles, waterbucks, and birds such as fish eagle, shoebill, kingfisher among others. While at the bottom of the falls you will a great time seeing the beautiful waterfalls. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale forest national park
After morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and start on your journey to Kibale forest national park. On your way to the park, you will enjoy the gorgeous scenery of the countryside that will make the journey more exciting. You will have an en-route lunch in Fort Portal and proceed while having great views of Rwenzori ranges. Upon arrival at the park, you will check-in at your lodge. You can opt for a guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary which is home to several birds such as bills, parrots, Uganda cranes, turacos, kingfishers as well as primates like bush babies, blue monkeys, olive baboons, vert monkeys, and others.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Wake up so early in the morning breakfast and drive to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking in the forest. Kibale forest is the home of 13 primates and has crater lakes. After the briefing, you will follow your ranger guide to the forest to look for these chimpanzees and when you meet them you will be given an hour to stay with them get to learn about their behaviors, watch them do daily activities like feeding, playing, hunting and others. Get back to the lodge for lunch, check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will arrive late in the evening. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Game drive and launch cruise – Queen Elizabeth national park
Enjoy early morning breakfast and meet your driver-guide for a game drive through the Kasenyi plain where you will get a chance to see different wildlife species such as elephants, buffaloes, hippos, lions, waterbucks, giraffes, antelopes and if you are lucky you will get to see leopards and different bird species. after the game drive, you will drive to the lodge for lunch and relax. In the afternoon you will drive to the Kazinga channel for a boat cruise which will allow you to see different water birds and water animals such as African crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, waterbucks among others. After a boat cruise, drive back to the lodge for dinner and night rest.

Day 6: Forest walk and chimpanzee tracking
Have breakfast in the morning and go for a guided forest walk in Maramagambo forest where you will have an opportunity to see different bird species, bat caves, and python. You will also go chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura gorge. Return to the lodge and have lunch while preparing for an evening game drive in the park where you will get a chance to see several animals.

Day 7: Forest walk and chimpanzee tracking
After morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet your driver for a transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park via the Ishasha sector as you will have an opportunity to see tree-climbing lions in their natural habitat. The park is home to over 120 mammals, 346 birds, and 400 plant species covering an area of 331 sq. km. you will have an en-route lunch and proceed with your journey combined with stunning and spectacular views of tea plantations, bananas, and the green vegetation of the area. Upon arrival at the park, you will check-in at your lodge and relax as you wait for gorilla trekking the next day. Dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Gorilla tracking and Community walk – Bwindi
Today is the main highlight of your 10 Days Uganda Primate and Wildlife Safari! After morning breakfast, get your packed lunch, meet your driver, and head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while in the park with gorillas. After follow your ranger guide to the forest for gorilla trekking which can take 2 hours to 8 hours and this is based on the location of these giant apes because they move from one place to another looking for food. When you meet gorillas, you will be permitted 1 hour to stay with them. In this hour you will get to learn about chimpanzee behaviors, watch them do daily activities, and take photos. After a special time with gorillas, you will trek to the starting point, get a gorilla trekking certificate and drive back to the lodge. Later in the afternoon, you will go for an afternoon community walk where you will visit the Batwa group of people and get an opportunity to interact with them and know about their daily life, taste wine made from bananas, taste local food, and get entertained by traditional dancers. Head back to the lodge, have dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park
Wake up early morning breakfast, check out the lodge and start on your journey to Lake Mburo national park which is about a 6 to 7 hours’ drive. You will have an adventurous journey with a combination of terraced hills, banana plantations, banana plantations, forests among others. Have an en-route lunch in Mbarara and proceed to Lake Mburo one of the smallest national parks with over 332 bird species, 68 mammals sitting on an area of 371 sq. km.
The park is home to some animals such as impalas, warthogs, waterbucks, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, and reedbucks among others. On arrival at the park, you will have to check-in at your booked lodge and have some relaxation. In the afternoon you will head out to Lake Mburo for a boat cruise that takes you about 2 hours. During the boat cruise, your eyes will be fed with lots of wonders such as water birds, crocodiles, hippos. Return to the lodge, have dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 10: Return to Kampala
On the last day of your amazing safari, you will wake up to a morning breakfast and head out for a morning game drive. During this game drive, you will see several animals in the park e.g. zebras, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, hippos, jackals, hyenas, leopards among others in their natural habitats. After the game drive, you will get back to the lodge relax and wait for lunch. After lunch, you will check out of the lodge, start on your journey to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for photos and souvenirs. You will arrive in Kampala later in the evening and get dropped off at your hotel or Entebbe international airport to end your 10 Days Uganda Primate and Wildlife Safari
